Westminster Hall

The oldest extant part of the Palace of Westminster, Westminster Hall was built in 1097 and was, at the time, Europe’s largest hall. For centuries, it served as the legal and administrative center of the country and has also been the venue for coronation banquets, medieval feasts and celebrations, and grand political displays. Its name is derived from the neighbouring Westminster Abbey,The first royal palace was built on the site in the 11th century, and Westminster was the primary residence of the Kings of England until fire destroyed much of the complex in 1512. After that, it served as the home of the Parliament of England, which had been meeting there since the 13th century,

London Wall

From its earliest foundation the Roman city of Londinium was almost certainly surrounded by some kind of fortification. As well as providing defence, the construction of a stone wall represented the status of the city. Using the evidence of excavated coins, archaeologists have dated the construction of the first stone city wall to between ad 190 and 225.

The wall was about 2.5 miles (4 kilometres) long, enclosing an area of about 330 acres (134 hectares); it originally included four city gates with an additional entrance into the legionary fortress at Cripplegate. In front of the eastern face of the wall was a ditch, which was up to 6 feet (1.8 metres) deep and 16 feet (4.8 metres) across.

How to Find It: This section of the wall is located at the edge of a small garden to the southeast of Tower Hill underground station. From the station the garden is accessed just off the path to the Tower of London, and is halfway down the steps to the Tower Hill underpass on the left hand side..

Tower of London

It is an internationally famous monument and one of England’s most iconic structures.
Construction on this fortress began nearly a millennium ago, in 1080, under the rule of William the Conqueror. Successive monarchs further developed the tower, using it for a variety of purposes, including a royal prison, a refuge for royals, and an ancient monument.
The Tower of London is still officially a royal residence of Her Majesty The Queen.
The castle was used as a prison from 1100 until 1952, although that was not its primary purpose.
22 executions have ever taken place inside the Tower of London. Most happened on the nearby Tower Hill.
A legend says that Anne Boleyn, beheaded in 1536 for treason against Henry VIII, walks in the tower with her head under her arm
Six ravens live in the tower at all times. According to the legend, if the ravens leave the tower, Britain will fall.
